Desire without discipline is disappointing.

It might feel like our youth abandons us, but it's always available within us.
Ask questions. Try new things. Meet new people and make new friends. That field of work is also a field of play.
Stay young.

Celebrate the joy within what is, and then what's missing will appear. The picture is already complete.

Temporary love teaches us to survive the temporary and to thrive in the moment. Given that, we may find that it's not temporary after all...

Can you tell when you're holding back? Or, are your senses dulled when things get dull and the sparkling shine fades away?
Creativity can act like water: sometimes we need to prime the pump to get it flowing. Let it flow. Move it forward. There will be surprises. There will be storms. I really do believe that the best thing you will ever create has not yet been created. It awaits your initiative, your verve, your motion.
You can't help but be creative -- no need to hold back.

"One brilliantly creative idea a day is all that it takes, to undo a hundred thoughtless mistakes."

We just have to deal with it. It's not new. It's not going to change. The people who are younger than you feel the need to rebel against you. The people who are older than you care so much about their own generation that yours seems insignificant. It doesn't make any of it true, just present.
We might as well deal with it by staying calm, mindful, and attentive to our own approach to multiple-generations. Eventually, if you live long enough, you get to be every generation cliche available.

Love crosses my mind every day. It's when it crosses my heart that it brings me to tears.

I like eclipses...because that implies there is more to the story and that I don't know all of the answers because maybe (maybe!) the emerging nature of the universe (and certainly our perception...) allows new answers to form.
Maybe we can (do...?) try on new realities just for fun because (maybe...) there is no one permanent reality. (That is not to excuse ALL things or even to explain all things. It is to allow all things whatever is to be.)
"That's crazy talk."
"Yes. But, is it really?"

The trouble with revolution is breaking things. The problem with ignoring tradition is that you forget what got you here, and what has mattered before.
Certainly, we don't need to follow tradition without question.
We also don't need to overplay our hand. Nuance is an art. Inspiration is an art. Balance...well, you know...it's an art.
